Its name originates in the vineyard village of Tramin in South Tyrol. This aromatic and full-bodied wine has a slightly fruity taste. The appearance is from light-yellow to golden and it pairs perfectly with prawn, lobster, goose liver pâté and asparagus. Shelf life is 1 to 2 years. Serving temperature amounts to 10-12°C. Maturation takes place in stainless steel fermentation vessels.
